Good morning everyone,
Last Friday, 8 students from KiHS formed two teams (one junior and one senior team) to participate in the Northwestern Ontario Science Olympics at Lakehead University. The competition consisted of four different tasks, ranging from building a tower out of cups (blindfolded!) to creating molecules from memory using a molecule kit. Our students worked really hard and had a good time.
Congratulations to these eight students: Ian, Chantelle, Brandon, Sundance, Jessilyn, Lyndon, Keresia, and Charmaine
They worked very hard and they represented KiHS and their communities well. Many many people commented on how respectful and kind our KiHS students were, so thank you for your top notch efforts. Also, a big thank you to the chaperones: Melissa and Ira. It was good of you to offer to take these students on the trip. Thank you also to Cathy, who came and helped out on the day of the Olympics. Here are a few photos.
