Literacy

The Literacy lead at KOBE collaborates closely with educators and families to provide classroom support and elevate literacy skills among our students. We understand that literacy is fundamental to all learning, and our dedicated team offers invaluable resources and training in benchmark assessment, guided reading, running record training, leveled literacy instruction, and EQAO preparation. Our goal is to equip teachers and families with the tools to support students in their literacy journey and increase the percentage of students meeting grade-level expectations.

Language, Culture and Land Based Education focuses on preserving the rich heritage of language, culture, and land-based education.

Numeracy

Numeracy is a critical aspect of a well-rounded education, and KOBE’s Numeracy lead is committed to enhancing the mathematical proficiency of our students and families.

Speech and Language

The Speech and Language team at KOBE specializes in supporting students who face communication difficulties.

SERT

KOBE’s Special Education Resource Teachers (SERTs) play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with special education needs receive the vital support they require.

EPP

Our Education Partnership Program (EPP) Liaison is committed to supporting KO First Nation students attending provincially funded schools and private First Nations schools.

Tutor

KOBE offers tutoring services designed to enhance student learning. Our skilled tutors provide one-on-one or small group support, helping students grasp challenging concepts, build confidence, and excel academically.
